Tsuchiya: I probably shouldn’t push it much more, it’s pretty risky in the wet out there.
Also Tsuchiya: immediately goes two seconds faster.
この企画自体が地域と共存してる感じがして良いよね
I really like and appreciate with how much humility tuners presents their cars to the show/Mr.Tsuchiya, It's a characteristic almost lost here in Europe where everybody think their car is absolutely the best in the World and really often without accepting any criticism about some potential weak point of their veichle.

The GR86 recently became one of my favorite cars, so much potential for street tuning, and Mr. Tsuchiya is definitely not stranger to this. Hopefully I'll be able to buy one once I finish my studies.

ライトチューンのGR 86で私のランエボと2秒しか変わらないとは。。。この速さはGR 86の素性の良さ、SARDさんの技術力、そして土屋さんの運転技術ですね。今年のハチ高原ヒルクライムは魔王との差を詰めたいと思ってましたが、GR 86にカモられそうです。。。

@@user-id1yu7vm4p ありがとうございます。あらためて自分のランエボの車載動画と見比べてみましたがストレートエンドのスピードはランエボの方が速く、コーナーボトムスピードはGR 86の方が速いです。今年のハチ高原ヒルクライムまでにコーナリングスピード向上して、魔王のタイムに近づけるように頑張ります。

That looks super sorted on that surface. Fast enough considering I get nervous just watching xD It'd be nice with a little supercharger but it's not lacking in pace as is. Plenty of fun to be had.

@@dalton-at-work But he literally just said his has some rust around the door area. His AE86 is clean no doubt but it isn't immaculate.

一般道で濡れた路面でも、ストレートは120km/h超え、コーナーでも80km/h以上で曲がっていく。
私だったら、恐怖心でこんな攻め方はできません。
Everybody is moaning about not enough power and so on... But this is the essential concept of pure drivers car with manual 'box where you have to work hard. If only it was something like 200 kgs lighter. But I know that it's hard to keep weight down with all these mandatory safety ragulations. Good job Toyota, you still made proper drivers machine even in these difficult times when it's almost considered a crime to enjoy driving classic combustion engined car.
That makes no sense. If I wanted to work hard for power. I would just buy a base model lol. Stop making excuses. It's a slow car

Mostly comment field warriors or mericans who never seen a twisty road that moans. I agree, i think the gen1 has enough power for the road aswell, i want to be able to actually wring it out on the twisty roads, working the red line and feeling the car balance, and hang the tail out here and there, such enjoyable cars!

ちなみにこのハチ高原、冬のスキー場はともかく夏場はいろんな学校や大きな塾が合宿なんかに使うので意外と交通量があって…この時期(10月末〜11月頭)はこの地域の方以外の通行が極端に少ないからこそできるイベントだと思います♪春も少ないんですが路面が汚れてて走りにくいですからw

I think its interesting they went through the trouble of a different differential than the standard car's limited slip diff. (If I'm understanding this right.)
